Wellness Lifestyle Education

At Advanced Chiropractic, we recognize how incredibly important your lifestyle is to your health. Research tells us that at least 80% of deaths in the U.S. are caused by poor lifestyle habits. That means 8 out of 10 people are dying from their lifestyle choices! Sadly, most people don't even know this is happening. They are unknowingly committing suicide by lifestyle!

Research also tells us that the vast majority of illness today is chronic illness. That means it usually takes a few years to develop. (An acute illness lasts only a short time... you either recover from it or die... pneumonia is a good example.)

We now know with a great deal of certainty that chronic illness is directly linked to our lifestyle choices. Conditions like heart disease, cancer, stroke, obesity, diabetes, autoimmune disease, digestive disorders, depression, anxiety, skin conditions, infertility, impotence, osteoporosis... and the list goes on.

The new science of epigenetics is proving that these illnesses are not being caused by bad genetics, but by bad lifestyle which causes the genetic expression of chronic illness. Essentially your lifestyle choices turn your genes on and off in different ways to either create health or sickness in your body. Yes, your choices matter... a lot!

The greatest influence on your health is how you eat, move, and think. These are the "3 Pillars of Lifestyle". Our Wellness Lifestyle Education focuses on teaching you why and how to Eat Well, Move Well, and Think Well in ways that are sustainable so you can keep it up for the rest of your life.

We teach this information at in-office wellness talks, during chiropractic visits, through our website, written handouts, our newsletter, our Facebook page, Dr. Dyson's blog, various books, and dvd's.

There are so many ways for you to become educated about how to live a healthier lifestyle! We are here to be a resource for you and hopefully inspire you to take control of your most important asset... your health.
